Modified IP engineering 4 comp carriage- LASER cut balcony end carriage
This project is mostly under wraps as I am planning to enter it into MOTY this year. Here is a little taster picture of the interior. Nothing was glued in in this picture it was just roughly assembled to see how well things went togethor

Wow, I entered this carriage into MOTY and won the passenger stock trophy! I was rather surprised.
The carriage features working pneumatic breaking, fully detailed interior, working lighting, LASER cut balcony ends and all manner of other stuff. It was varnished an orange teak colour which will become the standard for all passenger stock.

Station
The station is made form laser cut MDF of 4mm thickness. The walls are roughly plastered with polyfiller and painted cream. Doors windows and the valensing are painted olive green humbrol. The glass is clear plasticard. Small pictures were cut from ‘The Railway Magazine’, glazed with clear plasticard and frames added made from coffee stirrers to make small framed pictures to hang inside. Due to space limitations in my tiny garden the station is actually about 13mm scale so is quite small. The ticket office has a tiny logbook made from graph paper and a sugar paper cover and also an old telephone. This is kindly donated by my sister from her Silvanian Family toy collection and painted black.
The station will be weathered to look neglected, forgotten yet formerly impressive.

Fish van
DVLR needed a fish van to keep up with the Aldeburgh fish trade. This was built to deliver fresh fish around the east coast of Suffolk. It was cooled by boxes of dry ice.
It was designed by me on a CAD program then cut out on a CAM LASER cutter. The planks are all pre- scribed and all future vans can be produced identically!
The main body is 4mm plywood and the "metal work" is LASER cut thin card!
The chassis is also 4mm ply and IP engineering axel boxes and wheels were recycled from an old, useless flat wagon. These were painted with Humbrol mat black paint. The main body was painted with stone grey spray paint from my local art shop. I have attempted to weather the wagon.
The roof is made of 4 supports (4 mm ply) and small strips of ply (1.5mm) Once glued some fine material was wood glued on and the top was painted white. (to reflect white and keep the fish cool. This model won a highly commended in the 2009 Model of the Year award at the AGM of the 16mm Narrow gauge railway modellers association.
