Great Little Trains of the Coast with the DVLR and the MHLR

Servises on the DVLRare now running as normally as possible (Not very!)

River Alde simmers at Butley Halt with a short mixed train. Rene looks on hopefully for passengers only to be disappointed.

The Deben Valley Light Railway is a small garden railway located in rural Suffolk. The DVLR is set in the 1800s and is based on many tiny narrow gauge lines struggling to keep alive.

The DVLR exists in a walled garden and runs above the flowerbeds from Snape Maltings to Woodbridge, stopping at Aldeburgh and Lower Butley on the way.

The DVLR was renound for it's rather false grandure, fine stations built in antisipation of greater things to come left to deteriorate slowly as the railway struggled to servive!
